Born in Sweden, Eva Ryn Johannissen received most of her formal art training in France and the UK. She received a first class honours degree in Fine Art from Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College and also holds a post graduate PDD diploma in print making from West Hertfordshire College. In the 1990s she studied painting and drawing at Scultura and Artworks Art Centre in Provence, France, during 4 years.
Before moving to England she lived for many years in Switzerland and France. In 2004 she set up a studio in her native country but continues to work internationally. She is a frequent exhibitor in the UK and other European countries. During the last couple of years her work has been exhibited in Paris, London, Edinburgh, Bilbao, Stockholm and Copenhagen.
